The Challenge defines seven fields of innovation in which start-ups can apply with their products and solutions: Recyclable Materials, Sustainable Supply Chain, Energy Efficient Production, Mobile Intelligence, Intelligent Building Management, Customer-Oriented Mobility, Sustainable Technologies. In addition, there is the possibility of a “wild card” for a topic that cannot be assigned to any of these fields but is nevertheless exciting.

BMW’s Venture Client Programme “Startup Garage” evaluates the incoming startup innovations. The selected startups will receive an invitation to a pitch at the end of July with the chance to win the BMW Group as a client. The final winners will receive their awards at the IAA Mobility trade fair in Munich in September. The decisive factor for the selection is how the solution contributes to the sustainability of the BMW Group in the defined fields of innovation.

Registration for the Challenge is now open on theBMW Startup Garagewebsite. Applications must be submitted by 28 June at the latest.

每年,宝马公司车库交流想法with numerous startups in 30 countries and looks for innovations that represent a significant benefit for the products, services, systems and processes of the BMW Group. In this way, it secures early access to innovations and can help shape them before they reach market maturity. At the same time, start-ups gain valuable insights into automotive processes, can build a network within the company and are supported in the further development of their business plan. The aim of the programme is to evaluate and empower startups as suppliers and long-term partners for the BMW Group. Since the Startup Garage was established, more than 100 young technology companies have gone through the programme with an investment volume of more than $2.8 billion.
