CES 2022 roundup
Despite shortening the show by a day, and the physical absence of many large companies, the 2022 CES show highlighted the increasing role of semiconductor technology across many areas of life.

Intel officially launched its Alder Lake processors, allowing manufacturers such as congatec and Adlink to launch their associated boards, and the world of embedded AI and machine learning saw new launches. A new microcontroller from energy harvesting chip designer e-peas semiconductor emerged as part of a move to providing a complete system design for the Internet of Things (IoT), while the show saw a dramatic increase in launches from automotive component suppliers and car concept designs.
