The terms of the deal, which is expected to close in early December 2017, were not disclosed.
Solido was founded in 2005 and has less than 200 employees, according to a LinkedIn entry. However, its machine learning-based products are currently at over 40 major companies, enabling them to design, verify, and manufacture competitive products.

Ravi Subramanian, vice president and general manager of Mentor's IC verification solutions division, said: "Solido joins Mentor at an exciting time. Having a power house like Siemens entering EDA is proving to be a true game changer for us."
