Analog Devices to invest €100 million in Limerick R&D centre
Mixed-signal to RF chip maker Analog Devices Inc. has announced it will invest €100 million (about US$110 million) in a development centre in Limerick.
The investment in ADI Catalyst – a 100,000 square foot custom-built facility for innovation and collaboration – will take place over the next three years. The Irish government is supporting the investment through its development agency, IDA Ireland. However, ADI did not disclose the level of financial support it is receiving.

“It [ADI Catalyst] provides the ideal environment for experts in their fields to connect, collaborate, test, and pilot new technologies, business models, and ecosystems,” said Vincent Roche, CEO of Analog Devices, in a statement.
Ireland is home to ADI’s European R&D, which was launched in Limerick, Ireland, in 1976. Now, ADI employs more than 2,200 people across 14 European sites.
