Distributor Electrocomponents changes its name to RS
Broad-based distributor Electrocomponents has changed its name to reflect its most popular brand.
Now known as the RS Group, it has nine brands for designers, builders and maintainers of industrial equipment and operations.

Alongside the RS distribution business, the company has its own range of 63,000 components and products in RS Pro and single board computer distributor Okdo, as well as the DesignSpark community and Allied Electronics & Automation in the US. Outside of electronics, IESA provides outsourced procurement, inventory and stores management services, while Synovos is an integrated supply management services provider. Needlers is the UK’s leading supplier of PPE, safety and hygiene products to the food manufacturing industry, while Liscombe is a specialist supplier of high-risk hand protection and PPE products to industrial blue-chip customers in the UK and the Netherlands.
