我们已经知道数控预测of images and symbols from the car – as welcome lighting or for communication with pedestrians. Now ams Osram Automotive Lighting Systems (AMLS) is bringing this technology to the vehicle interior. Together with Grupo Antolin, a Spanish technology company specialising in this field, AMLS wants to develop appropriate solutions and integrate them into the overall system. Together, the two companies are working on new functionalities for digital projection systems and their application on various surfaces, such as the headliner, which will provide passengers with a new experience and more comfort during the journey. Dashboards, side panels or even the panoramic roof also become potential projection surfaces. In order to offer their customers a solution from a single source, the partners are pooling their activities in the areas of lighting, electronics and integration.

From the perspective of the two companies, digital projection technology opens up a wide range of options for displaying individual content such as outdoor environments, videos, visual patterns, logos or other images that include, for example, warning signals or supporting information for drivers. One focus of the application is on greeting scenarios. In addition, the system can create entirely new customer experiences while driving.

AMLS’ digital projection systems are based on the Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) approach. Thanks to their flexible and compact design, Grupo Antolin’s DMD projection modules can be seamlessly integrated into the vehicle interior to display projections on various surfaces. In addition, the modules can be synchronised with the functional and ambient lighting and individually adapted to different driving scenarios and the mood of the passengers. The headliner offers the largest screen available in the interior for this purpose, according to AMLS.
